first off heres the list ive been working on.. it has some points left over that i need to use up but i like the way its going so far.

anyway more funky pictures.. because pictures are more interesting to me at least, so i assume its the same for everyone else.
by the looks of it photoshop is playing up again.. as usefull as that site is it does its best to piss me off.. most of them need more work doing (especially sergeant rikart whose plain boltgun metal.. and yes ive named my sarges.. i plan on making this company "cool" dammit!)
speaking of naming sarges and the such, i plan on doing some funky campaign stuff when the rest of my club pulls their collective fingers out and gets painting.. i might have to put some of my musings about that on here too, afterall "fluff" is important.
I don't know if it is intentional, an effect of your photographs or just a median stage in your paint job; but I think that the Hellboy skin job on Marine #2 looks pretty cool.
ReplyDeleteits due to the dodgy contrast in the pictures.. (they were taken in my kitchen using natural light due to dead lamp) hes a bit more tanned than his mates, but isnt of the 'big red' skin type.. despite the sideburns.
ReplyDeleteGood stuff! Love the grit near the bottoms of the legs, and that combi-flamer is nice. You should do a step-by-step on how you made that, because it's a lot nicer than most I've seen.

Very basic but effective colour scheme. How many points is that list, looks pretty tight. My only comment is that your terminators are going to eat tons of fire whether you walk them or deep strike. Get them a ride :)
ReplyDeleteblame forgeworld for the colour scheme =p the list is 1750 and im going to replace one of the vindicators with a 2nd thunderfire cannon.. played a few games with it and the only thing the vindis managed to shoot was each other.. theres a few other amendments that i want to try out, but a transport for the termies isnt one of them.. 250+ points on a raider isnt my cup of tea, especially seeing as one of my regular opponents fields somewhat spammy dark lances.
